At the checkpoint "Ak-Tilek" in the Chui region of the Kyrgyz Republic, an attempt to import 15,600 liters of kumis from Russia was discovered. This information was provided by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic, which reported that the cargo was detained and returned to the sender.

Veterinary control inspectors identified a violation during a scheduled inspection. The labels on the kumis lacked a production date, which is a serious violation of veterinary and sanitary norms of the Kyrgyz Republic. The absence of labeling jeopardizes the ability to control the freshness and safety of the product.

In connection with the identified violation, relevant reports were drawn up, based on which the import of this batch was prohibited. The entire batch, exceeding 15 tons, was forced to return to Russia through the same checkpoint. The relevant agency noted that veterinary and livestock development services continue to operate with increased caution to prevent the entry of potentially dangerous and low-quality food products into the Kyrgyz market.
