The National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic has been designated as the authorized body for the implementation of this agreement.
This agreement is of a framework nature and aims to create a reliable legal basis for attracting foreign investments.
The document includes international legal guarantees for the protection of investors, such as protection against expropriation with mandatory compensation, provision of fair and equal treatment for investments, as well as access to international arbitration.
The Cabinet emphasizes that the implementation of this agreement should contribute to an increase in capital inflow and the development of bilateral economic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Italy. The project has been agreed upon with the relevant committees of the Jogorku Kenesh and does not violate the Constitution and current legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The government believes that the ratification of the agreement will not lead to additional financial, economic, social, or legal consequences.
