At the meeting, Kurmankul Zulyshev, the chairman of the committee, reported that three versions of the text and music for the new anthem had been submitted to parliament. He noted that none of them surpassed the current anthem in terms of content, text, and musical performance, and therefore they cannot be considered full-fledged alternatives.
Minister Mirbek Mambetaliev spoke about the work of the commission, which also included Chynara Umetalieva and Syrtbai Musaev. They emphasized the importance of this task and noted that creating an anthem is a complex challenge, and not every composer is capable of handling it. Over the course of a year, all submitted works were reviewed, and ultimately three versions were selected.
Deputy Nurlanbek Azygaliev added that the anthem should inspire and unite citizens, and proposed extending the competition to allow for the development of stronger and more meaningful options that would correspond to the spirit of the anthem.
As a result of the discussion, the committee recommended rejecting all three versions of the text and music for the national anthem of Kyrgyzstan.
