At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh Committee on Constitutional Legislation, Deputy Kurmankul Zulushov stated that the proposed options for the national anthem do not meet the necessary quality standards in both music and lyrics.

He emphasized that during the discussion, all three options were carefully considered; however, none of them demonstrated significant advantages sufficient for approval as the anthem.

Zulushov noted that the creation of music for the anthem should be entrusted to truly talented composers, rather than authors of "simple works," even if the latter hold high state awards. This does not guarantee that their creativity will be properly appreciated by society.

In the deputy's opinion, both the music and the lyrics of the anthem currently appear insufficiently developed and do not convey the necessary depth and significance of this important state symbol. Therefore, he believes that there are currently no grounds for choosing even one of the proposed options.

"If the anthem truly surpasses all other options in both music and lyrics, then it should be approved," he added, clarifying that this is his personal viewpoint.

He also noted that the discussion is ongoing, and each participant has the opportunity to express their opinion, while the final decision should be made collectively at a parliamentary meeting.

The committee reviewed the three options for the anthem, listened to them, and ultimately decided to reject all proposed options.
