The Deputy Head of the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Ambassador of France discussed Kyrgyzstan's participation in COP21 in Yerevan

On February 6, the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision, Almaz Musaev, held a meeting with Nicolas Fay, the Ambassador of France to Kyrgyzstan. This event became known thanks to the press service of the Ministry of Natural Resources.

The French Ambassador confirmed his country's readiness to support Kyrgyzstan's participation in COP21, which will take place in 2026 in Yerevan, Armenia. In particular, the discussion focused on the possibility of organizing side events dedicated to biodiversity issues.

During the conversation, areas of cooperation in the field of biodiversity conservation, protection of rare species, and management of specially protected natural areas were also discussed.

Musaev emphasized the efforts aimed at preserving biodiversity, including the development of the National Strategy and Action Plan for Biodiversity Conservation (NBSAP), as well as the vulnerability of mountain ecosystems and glaciers in Kyrgyzstan in the context of climate change.
