As part of a raid against illegal fishing, inspectors from the Environmental Protection Service, together with employees of the Issyk-Kul Regional Administration, conducted an inspection. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Natural Resources.

As a result of the operation, old fishing nets with a total length of 400 meters were removed from Lake Issyk-Kul.

“These illegal fishing gear causes significant harm to the ecosystem of the water body and can contribute to the depletion of fish stocks. In this regard, inspectors regularly carry out activities to identify and prevent such violations,” the ministry's statement noted.
