In 2025, revenues of 13 million 573 thousand 419 soms were recorded from the sale of fishing tickets and cards. For comparison, in 2024 this figure was 3 million 146 thousand 149 soms. The press service of the Ministry of Agriculture shared this information.

The department emphasized that such significant growth was made possible by the implementation of online sales of fishing tickets.

Additionally, in 2025, large-scale raids aimed at combating poaching and preventing illegal fishing were conducted in the waters of Lake Issyk-Kul and on the rivers of the country. Catch is considered illegal if the fisherman does not have a fishing ticket, which results in a fine of 1000 soms.

Information about fishing conditions in water bodies, as well as types and prices for fishing tickets and cards, can be found here.

For 2025, the Department of Fisheries approved limits on sport and amateur fishing in water bodies of fishery significance. These limits were agreed upon with the laboratory of ichthyology and hydrobiology of the Biological Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, and contracts were concluded with various public associations and organizations.

Athletes and fishing enthusiasts now have the opportunity to purchase fishing tickets and pay for them online. "The implementation of this system has significantly simplified the ticket acquisition process, making it accessible to citizens across the country and contributing to the reduction of paper document usage," the statement noted.

The Ministry of Agriculture also announced plans to continue developing electronic services and strengthen control over compliance with fish catch limits.
