It is also worth noting that in 2025, the Department of Fisheries approved limits for sport and amateur fishing in water bodies of fishery significance, which were agreed upon with the ichthyology and hydrobiology laboratory of the Biological Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.
To enhance the effectiveness of fishing, agreements were made with public associations and commercial organizations.
Sport fishermen in Kyrgyzstan can now easily purchase fishing licenses online. To do this, they need to visit the official website agro.gov.kg, select the section "Services" → "Buy Fishing License," or use the direct link "Fishing License" — https://rb.agro.gov.kg/, and then scan the provided ELQR code.
Payment can be made through any mobile banking application or electronic wallet.
After a successful transaction, the electronic ticket is sent to the email address provided by the user during registration and remains valid throughout the country.
The implementation of this system has significantly simplified the ticket acquisition process and made the service more accessible to residents of all regions of Kyrgyzstan, as well as contributed to a reduction in the use of paper documentation.
In the future, it is planned to continue the development of electronic services and strengthen control over compliance with catch limits to preserve biodiversity and ensure the sustainable use of natural resources.
