The EFSR Forecasts a Decrease in the Share of Imports in Kyrgyzstan's GDP
According to forecasts by analysts from the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development, by 2026, the share of imports of goods and services in Kyrgyzstan's gross domestic product (GDP) may reach 70.3%, while in 2027 and 2028, it is expected to be 66.5% and 63.6%, respectively. There will continue to be a trend towards reducing the current account deficit, primarily due to a decrease in import volumes in machine engineering against a backdrop of stable export levels and remittances.
