President Sadyr Japarov has signed a document amending the decree of August 28, 2025, No. 250, concerning the state monopoly on the training of medical specialists.
As stated in the new decree of February 2, 2026, No. 27, the purpose of these changes is to strengthen the system of training medical and pharmaceutical personnel, as well as to develop international academic cooperation, while adhering to unified state standards of education quality and national security requirements.
According to the updates, a new clause has been added to the document, allowing accredited private medical universities to enter into international agreements with universities in the USA.
Such agreements will aim to implement joint educational programs and projects in the field of training medical and pharmaceutical personnel.
The decree comes into effect upon its official publication.
