Currently, the country has allocated 10,000 budget places for applicants, of which 5,000 are intended for students from the north and 5,000 for those from the south.
Thus, students from northern regions will study in the south, while southern students will study in the north. The president also added that he initiated the construction of dormitories in seven regions. However, according to Japarov, due to delays, the project will only be completed in September of next year. "After the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit and the World Nomad Games, we will begin construction work," he added.
Starting next September, students studying on a budget basis will begin their studies under the rotation system.
"What will the result be? In the future, such a problem as 'north-south' should disappear," said Sadyr Japarov.
In his opinion, among the 5,000 students coming from the north to the south, there will be those who will start families, leading to an exchange of culture and mentality. Similar changes will occur among students from the south studying in the north," he explained.
Thus, according to the president, in 20-30 years, the 'north-south' problem will be resolved. "If we do not use such methods, we will not be able to eradicate this problem," the head of state concluded.
