At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Elvira Surabaldiyeva proposed an initiative to take into account the work experience of students who work in public schools and medical institutions.

Surabaldiyeva noted that many students studying on a budget basis in the fields of education and medicine are forced to work in public institutions due to a shortage of staff. "These young specialists work under official employment contracts, they have work books, and they perform standard job duties, providing services to citizens. However, the time spent working while studying is not counted towards the mandatory two-year service experience, which raises questions," she explained.

The deputy emphasized that the current situation is unfair. "If a student is officially employed in a public school or medical institution, their work experience should be taken into account when calculating the mandatory service period. This could help address the staff shortage, support young specialists, and ensure stability in the sectors," she added.
