At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Elvira Surabaldiyeva raised the issue of the necessity to account for the work experience of students employed in state educational and medical institutions.

She emphasized that students studying on a budget basis in the fields of pedagogy and medicine are forced to work in state schools and hospitals due to a shortage of personnel.

“These students sign official employment contracts, receive work books, and fulfill all necessary duties. However, they are informed that the time spent working while studying is not counted towards the mandatory two-year service experience, which I believe is unfair,” she stated.

In her opinion, if a student is officially employed in a state school or medical institution, that period should be counted towards their experience and mandatory service term. According to Elvira Surabaldiyeva, this could help reduce the personnel shortage, support young specialists, and ensure stability in the sector.
