The Olympiad will take place in four stages:
- First stage — school (in January);
- Second stage — district (in February). This stage will be held at the district level in various regions, as well as in the city of Bishkek and in cities of district subordination;
- Third stage — regional (also in February). It will be conducted at the regional level, including the cities of Bishkek and Osh;
- Fourth stage — republican (in March).
The third and fourth stages will be held simultaneously across the country within the timeframes set by the ministry.
The Olympiad covers the following subjects:
- English language, mathematics, computer science, physics, chemistry, biology, geography, history, Kyrgyz language and literature, Russian language and literature.
Participation in the Olympiad does not require payment.
According to information from the Ministry of Education, the main goals of the Republican Olympiad are as follows:
- to identify talented students and motivate them to deepen their study of subjects, develop creative skills, and foster interest in research activities;
- to seek and support highly qualified, creative teachers who prepare the winners of the Olympiad;
- to assist in the upbringing of gifted children.
