More than 302 thousand Kyrgyz citizens have a negative credit history

According to the data presented at the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh by Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Benazir Nurlanova, 1 million 517 thousand citizens in Kyrgyzstan have credit histories, of which 302 thousand 355 are negative.

A negative credit history is formed if the borrower delays payment for more than 90 days.

During the meeting, the deputies also discussed amendments to the Law "On the Exchange of Credit Information." One of the proposals is to shorten the retention periods for credit information:


In addition, it is proposed to establish a norm whereby negative information about loans of less than 10,000 soms will be retained for only one year.

The draft law was adopted by the deputies in the first reading.
