Today, a meeting took place in Bishkek between Mayor Aibek Junushaliev and a delegation from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
According to the press service of the mayor's office, the main topic of discussion was joint projects related to heating and water supply in the capital, as well as the city's participation in the "Green Cities" program initiated by the EBRD.
The mayor presented the bank with key ecological initiatives being implemented in Bishkek. Among them are the construction of an eco-technological plant and greening activities aimed at improving air quality in the city. In 2025, it is planned to plant 19,000 trees, and in 2026, an additional approximately 50,000 seedlings will be added.
EBRD representatives expressed their readiness to support the implementation of projects outlined in the city's general development plan until 2050.
"We are grateful for the support provided. You accompany projects at all stages — from preparation to implementation. We are open to further cooperation and hope to continue our joint work in the future," noted Aibek Junushaliev.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to continue cooperation in implementing joint initiatives.
