Yuri Ushakov, assistant to Vladimir Putin, commented on the results of the negotiations, calling them "useful in every sense." He also reported that the first meeting of the trilateral working group on security issues will take place today in Abu Dhabi with the participation of representatives from Russia, the US, and Ukraine.
According to him, the Russian delegation, which has already been formed and received specific instructions from Putin, will soon head to Abu Dhabi. The delegation includes high-profile representatives from the Ministry of Defense, including the head of the GRU, Igor Kostyukov.
Additionally, a meeting is scheduled in Abu Dhabi between Witkoff and Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, to discuss economic issues within the framework of the bilateral working group.
Ushakov emphasized that Russia will continue to strive to achieve the goals of the special military operation until a political-diplomatic settlement is reached. He also noted that without resolving territorial issues, achieving a long-term settlement is impossible.
