In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, Mayor Aibek Junushaliev met with representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). During the meeting, joint projects between the city and the bank were discussed, as reported by the press service of the mayor's office.
Particular attention was paid to the implementation of various initiatives, including in the areas of heating and water supply, as well as the EBRD's "Green Cities" program, in which Bishkek intends to participate.
At the meeting, the parties agreed to support key initiatives, including the master plan for the capital's development until 2050, projects for the construction of an eco-technology plant, and activities for greening and improving air quality.
In 2025, it is planned to plant 19,000 trees, and in the following year, 2026, the number of seedlings is expected to be around 50,000.
The mayor emphasized the importance of EBRD support at all stages of project implementation and expressed hope for further cooperation in the future.
