Information provided by human rights activist Gulshair Abdirasulova

The trial in the case of Mahabat Tajibek kyzy has been postponed by the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic to March 3. This was reported by human rights activist Gulshair Abdirasulova on social media.

“Today, a court was supposed to take place regarding the request from the defense of Mahabat Tajibek kyzy to review her case due to new circumstances related to the decision of the UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention,” she wrote.

“However, the panel of the Supreme Court decided to postpone the trial to March 3 at 11:15, which means that the hearing will only take place in a month,” Abdirasulova added in her Facebook post.

The human rights activist noted that recently Mahabat's health has deteriorated, and her relatives are forced to bring her necessary medications each time.

“According to the lawyer, she needs to undergo more thorough examinations, including ultrasound and MRI. This causes me serious concern...” she emphasized.
