The artistic workshops, which have created decorations for performances at the Kyrgyz State Opera and Ballet Theater for many years, will be relocated. This was announced in a statement from the Ministry of Culture of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the findings of seismologists from the State Institute of Seismic Resistant Construction and Engineering Design, the workshop building is unsuitable for further use. Low seismic resistance and significant wear of the structures have made working in this historic space unsafe.
As part of a new initiative, a plot of land within the city has been allocated for the construction of a new building. The project has already been included in the development plans.
The emergency structure will be handed over to the Ministry of Finance for further action.
