A regular reader has contacted the editorial office of VB.KG, expressing deep concern about the increasing number of women with small children begging at the Orto-Sai market. According to her, such women can be found at every turn, asking for alms while using infants as a means of manipulation.
“While I was walking through the market, I counted about eight such women. They clearly do not appear to be locals and, judging by their appearance, do not look impoverished. This raises many questions: where did they come from in such large numbers and for what purpose?” — shares her observations the city resident.
Previously, residents of the capital had also noticed organized groups of beggars in crowded places, but now the problem at the Orto-Sai market has taken on a threatening scale. The author of the appeal urges law enforcement agencies and social services to pay attention to the current situation, check the legality of these individuals' presence in the country, and, importantly, find out the conditions in which the children used for collecting money from passersby are living.
