According to the district administration, on January 31, 2026, the first deputy akim Arzybek Jusupov, along with representatives of the Border Service of the National Security Committee, heads of relevant organizations, and local managers, inspected the sections located on the border with Uzbekistan.
During the working trip, the participants familiarized themselves with the condition of the border sections and discussed current issues. "Starting from March 2026, we plan to carry out engineering arrangements for some sections of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border. In this regard, instructions were given to conduct explanatory work for local residents," the akimat reported.
Kanat Tabaldiev, the akim of the Kara-Suu district, commented to Turmush that in March, the Border Service will begin installing a barbed wire fence in the section adjacent to the border with Uzbekistan.
"The commission visited the site in connection with the installation of the barbed wire fence. There are some economic buildings and several houses located on the border that partially fall into the border zone. Necessary decisions were made on-site," the akim added.
