Starlink satellite internet services, owned by SpaceX, are now available throughout Tajikistan. This system, which provides low signal latency, promises connectivity even in the most remote and mountainous areas of the country. Elon Musk announced this via social media.

According to Musk, this launch was made possible by a licensing agreement signed between the government of Tajikistan and SpaceX at the end of 2025. The main focus of the cooperation is the digitalization of hard-to-reach regions of the republic.

Thus, Tajikistan has become the second country in the region to gain access to SpaceX technologies, following Kazakhstan, where satellite internet has been operational since August 2025, providing connectivity for residential and social facilities in remote rural areas.

The next country expected to launch Starlink will be Uzbekistan. The entry into the Uzbek market is planned for 2026. The government of Uzbekistan has already prepared the relevant regulatory and tax framework, as well as established the rules for operating terminals with provided benefits.
