Kyrgyzstan to Expand Export of Beans, Honey, and Dried Fruits to the Pakistani Market

A meeting was held in the Kyrgyz Republic between the Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry, Bekten Bekbolotov, and the Ambassador of Pakistan, Altamash Wazir Khan.

According to the Ministry, the issues of the current state and future directions of cooperation in agriculture, trade, and the halal industry were discussed. In particular, special attention was paid to increasing the export of Kyrgyz beans to Pakistan.

The Pakistani side expressed interest in exchanging experience in dairy processing and the development of the dairy industry, offering training programs of various durations under the Pakistan Technical Assistance Program (PTAP), including courses on agriculture and forestry.

The parties agreed to intensify work on appointing contact persons and forming a joint working group of technical experts, as well as developing trade in honey and dried fruits, promoting joint ventures, and continuing expert consultations on issues of mutual interest. "The meeting was held in a constructive spirit and confirmed mutual interest in deepening cooperation," the statement noted.
