According to the proposal, a provision will be added to the code stating that "the indexing of employees' wages will be carried out in connection with the increase in consumer prices for goods and services, which will ensure the growth of their real income levels."
The document outlines key points:
- the indexing of wages in state institutions will be carried out in accordance with established laws and other regulatory acts;
- in the private sector, the conditions, procedure, and frequency of indexing will be determined within the framework of the collective agreement.
In the justification for the draft law, it is mentioned that previously, in the Labor Code of 2004 No. 106, there was a provision for indexing; however, it was abolished with the introduction of the new code in 2025.
The deputy emphasized that from 2014 to 2024, the consumer price index increased by 68.2%, which negatively affected the purchasing power of citizens.
