In 2022, Keldibekov was acquitted by the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek on charges of abuse and complicity in corruption.
He resigned from his position as president of the Kyrgyz Republic Weightlifting Federation in 2024. In August 2025, demolition work began in Osh on properties associated with his name, including the restaurant "Baysan," located in a water protection zone.
