In Talas, water intake facilities that were previously illegally privatized have been returned to state ownership. This was reported by the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic (GKNB KR).
As the investigation established, in 2003, S.T.D., who heads the public organization "Toboy," in collusion with representatives of the Talas branch of the State Cadastre Management and the State Enterprise "Talas Main Water Management," carried out the illegal privatization of facilities that ensure the livelihood of the population.
Using the official position of employees of state institutions and applying forgery, S.T.D. transferred strategic facilities of category "B" (water intakes) to the balance of his organization. Subsequently, he transferred land plots of 1.7 ha, 0.68 ha, and 1 ha with existing infrastructure into private ownership, with a total value of 36,415,400 soms.
As a result of the investigations conducted, these facilities, which ensure the livelihood of the population, have been returned to state ownership.
