During the discussion on price regulation, it became known that the price is formed by a commission that includes both producers and representatives of government bodies, taking into account the fat content of the milk. Purchase prices vary depending on the district and region and can range from 28 to 42 soms.
“Milk prices have dropped to a critical level. Some families cannot afford even a spoonful of milk for their children; they sell everything to buy food and pay for kindergarten. We ask the factories to set one stable price — 40-45 soms, without distinguishing between summer and winter,” she noted.
According to her, if the situation with milk prices does not change, they plan to appeal to the president and the head of the State National Security Committee.
Baktybek Tuuganbaev, head of Talas Daamy LLC, also raised another issue in the industry. He noted that in the Talas region, one cow produces an average of about 8 liters of milk per day, while in Russia this figure is 15 liters, and in Belarus — 20 liters.
“It is necessary to increase productivity. The Ministry of Water Management and Agriculture should consider options to achieve this goal. It is important to update cow breeds and import more productive varieties,” the entrepreneur added.
