On February 7, 2025, after a long battle with cancer, Brad Arnold, the founder and vocalist of the rock band 3 Doors Down, passed away. The musician was 47 years old, and the band announced his death in an official statement.

According to media reports, Arnold was diagnosed with "stage four kidney cancer with metastases to the lungs." He first spoke about his illness in May 2025. Due to his illness, the band was forced to cancel their summer concert tour.
