Kyrgyzstan now ranks 142nd in the global Corruption Perceptions Index, according to data published by Transparency International.

The country scored 26 points, which allowed it to rise from the 146th position it held in 2024.

It is important to note that in 2023, Kyrgyzstan was in 141st place (with the same 26 points), and in 2020 it was in 124th place (31 points).

In Central Asia, the best situation regarding corruption is observed in Kazakhstan (39 points) and Uzbekistan (31 points), while the worst indicators are in Tajikistan (19) and Turkmenistan (17).

The lowest level of corruption in 2024 was recorded in Denmark (89 points), Finland (88), and Singapore (84).

As noted by Transparency International, in 2025, "the global order was threatened due to competition among major powers and the dangerous disregard for international norms."

The Corruption Perceptions Index from Transparency International is a composite indicator that reflects the level of perception of corruption in the public sector of different countries. It is formed based on surveys of experts and entrepreneurs conducted by independent organizations around the world and has been published annually since 1995. Comparisons of CPI results are possible starting from 2012. Countries are ranked on a scale from 0 to 100, where 0 corresponds to the highest level of perceived corruption, and 100 corresponds to the lowest.
