A corruption scheme related to the illegal enrollment of students in driving schools has been uncovered in the Batken region. This was reported by the press service of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS).
According to the information provided by the state committee, some driving school leaders organized a system of fictitious enrollment of citizens for training, even if they were not present in Kyrgyzstan. To gain illegal benefits, enrollments were conducted remotely, without actual participation in theoretical and practical classes, with the issuance of forged documents confirming the successful completion of courses.
During authorized searches as part of the initiated criminal case, evidence of systematic enrollment of students in private driving schools while they were outside the country was collected.
The SCNS also reported that operational and investigative actions are currently underway to identify and hold accountable other participants in this corruption scheme, as well as to annul driver's licenses obtained through criminal means.
