In an official statement, the KFU noted that Tashiev's active participation in the development of football infrastructure and sports projects plays an important role and inspires players, coaches, and clubs to achieve further successes.
“On behalf of the Kyrgyz Football Union, all clubs, coaches, and athletes, we wish Kamchybek Kydyrshaevich health, a speedy recovery, and all the best!” — the statement reads.
As it became known, on February 10, President Sadyr Japarov signed a decree on the resignation of Kamchybek Tashiev from the position of head of the State National Security Committee (GKNB).
This resignation marked the beginning of significant changes in the security sector. As a result, several deputies were dismissed, and the Border Service was removed from the structure of the GKNB; a new State Protection Service was created based on the 9th Service, which now reports directly to the president.
The president explained that this decision was made to prevent a split in society. According to him, some individuals, representing themselves as Tashiev's associates, contacted deputies and attempted to push them towards political actions, which created a risk of tension. Tashiev himself learned about his resignation while undergoing a routine examination in Germany after heart surgery.
