A new airport is being built in the Suzak district
In the Jalal-Abad region, specifically in the Suzak district, the construction of the international airport "Jalal-Abad" is underway.
This airport will replace the existing one in Manas, the territory of which will be transformed into a "new type" city, featuring a sports arena for 30,000 seats at its center.
The area of the new airport will be 380 hectares. The runway will be capable of servicing modern passenger aircraft from Boeing and Airbus, as well as large cargo aircraft.
The airport will receive a category 4E, which corresponds to the standards of international aviation hubs.
Currently, a two-story terminal for passengers and parking spaces for aircraft are under construction.
Construction work began in May of last year.
