"Arsenal" in the Issyk-Kul Region: 1547 Hunters Checked and Fines Issued for 147,000 Soms

In the Issyk-Kul region, comprehensive operational and preventive measures called "Arsenal" are being carried out, aimed at ensuring compliance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic and combating offenses related to firearms and poaching.

Since the beginning of January this year, 28 facilities related to the permitting system and 1,547 hunters have been inspected. The results of the inspections led to the compilation of 54 administrative protocols and the imposition of fines totaling 147,000 soms.

During the raids, 25 firearms were seized for violations of regulations, as well as 16 units within the framework of criminal cases. It is worth noting that 31 firearms were voluntarily surrendered by citizens.

As a result of the conducted activities, 8 criminal cases were solved and 2 environmental crimes were recorded.

To ensure public safety, work is being carried out in conjunction with various services and community organizations to eliminate potentially dangerous wild animals: 18 jackals and 23 stray dogs have been destroyed.

In addition, meetings with local residents are organized in the settlements of the region, where explanatory talks on safety, compliance with the law, and environmental protection are held.
