According to information from the local administration, on February 12, an order was issued to the heads of relevant organizations to start work on restoring the area, which had long remained abandoned.
As part of these activities, garbage is being cleaned up, temporary structures and fences are being dismantled, as well as other work to bring the area into order.
The Municipal Property Management of the city of Osh is responsible for clearing abandoned objects and old crumbling walls. As noted by the head of this department, Jakshylyk Toktogonov, the land plots are under the jurisdiction of the agency.
“These lands belong to the municipal property management. The question of future development and designation of these plots has not yet been determined. The total area of the territory is about 60 acres, including plots that we obtained through the court, as well as those for which legal proceedings are ongoing,” he reported.
Previously, this site housed the city hospital, which provided medical services to residents. However, due to the deteriorating condition of the building, the medical institution was relocated to another location.
Currently, a seven-story clinic of Osh State University is being constructed on this territory. At the same time, as emphasized by Jakshylyk Toktogonov, the area where demolition and cleanup work is being carried out does not belong to the future clinic's site.
