In the Issyk-Ata district, commemorative events were held to mark the 37th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan, as reported by the local state administration.

The events began in the village of Luxembourg, located near the city of Kant. A memorial meeting took place at the monument to internationalist soldiers, where participants honored the memory of the fallen heroes with a moment of silence, followed by a memorial prayer. Wreaths and flowers were laid at the monument in deep respect for the courage of the soldiers who fulfilled their duty to the Motherland.

Then the program continued at the House of Culture, where a festive concert was organized for the veterans. The mayor of Kant, Ulan Mailibashev, and representatives of the Issyk-Ata district state administration delivered welcoming speeches.

As part of the event, Afghan war veterans were awarded honorary awards and insignia. Speakers noted that the feat of internationalist soldiers serves as an important example of patriotism for today's youth.
