The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister of Defense, Colonel Almazbek Kulmurzaev, who noted in his address that the blockade of Leningrad is not only a symbol of courage but also an example of the unity of nations.

During the event, archival documents were handed over to the relatives of soldiers who went missing during the Great Patriotic War. These materials were found and digitized under the direction of the Ministry of Defense leadership, and the work was carried out by the military personnel of the ministry's lyceum, based on data from the Central Archive of the Russian Federation.
As part of the commemorative event, a moment of silence was announced, and three volleys of the honor guard were fired in respect for the fallen.
