In Bishkek, the 83rd anniversary of the breakthrough of the Leningrad blockade will be celebrated

Events dedicated to the 83rd anniversary of the lifting of the blockade of Leningrad will take place in Bishkek, as reported by the Russian House.

The program includes a rally and an official laying of flowers at the monument "To the Courage of Leningraders — the Nobility of Kyrgyzstanis," located in Victory Park. During the event, documents with information about the fate of their loved ones will be presented to the relatives of 12 soldiers from Kyrgyzstan who were previously considered missing in action.

Tomorrow, January 17, a memorial service will be held at the Holy Resurrection Cathedral in memory of the fallen defenders and residents of besieged Leningrad, as well as members of the Kyrgyz Society of Leningrad Blockade Survivors who passed away during peacetime.

On January 18, a flower-laying ceremony will take place at the Northern Cemetery at the monument to Anna Kutanova, who was for a long time the head of the Kyrgyz Society of Leningrad Blockade Survivors.
