More than 84% of Kyrgyzstanis have optimistic expectations for 2026, - survey

According to a study conducted by the Kusein Isaev Center for Social Research (CIO) at BGU, more than 84% of citizens of Kyrgyzstan view the year 2026 with optimism. The survey, which covered the period from December 25 to 29, showed that 46.7% of participants believe that the upcoming year will be "quite successful," while 37.6% assess it as "generally good." Only 8% of respondents expressed pessimistic forecasts, categorizing 2026 as "rather difficult" or "very bad."

The main goal of this survey was to determine the social sentiments and expectations of Kyrgyz citizens at the end of 2025 and in anticipation of the new year. The study involved 1,039 people who were surveyed online through the CIO panel. Respondents represented 7 regions of the republic and the capital, Bishkek.
