On February 13, a requiem rally was held in Kara-Kul to commemorate the 37th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan.

This event was organized in honor of the soldiers who lost their lives in the Afghan war and as a sign of respect for the veterans who continue to live among us.

The event was attended by the mayor of the city, Nurtilek Orozbaev, the chairman of the council, Chyngyz Kimsanov, as well as representatives from various institutions, educational organizations, schoolchildren, and students.

During the rally, participants honored the memory of the fallen soldiers, assuring that their feats will not be forgotten. As part of the event, a prayer was held in their honor, after which flowers and wreaths were laid at the monument dedicated to the warriors who did not return from the war. The attendees also honored the memory of the deceased with a moment of silence.

In addition, 13 veterans of the Afghan war living in Kara-Kul received financial assistance from the local budget — 5,000 soms each.
