He noted that the relevant instruction was given to his cabinet of ministers last year.
"In February of last year, I initiated an important project. I gathered the Prime Minister and ministers to instruct them to create student dormitories in every region of the country, so that starting from September 1, 2026, we can begin the rotation of students studying on budget places," the president said.
Currently, 10,000 budget places have been allocated for applicants in the country: 5,000 places are designated for the southern regions, and the same number for the northern ones.
Thus, students from the north will study in the south, and students from the south will study in the north. Therefore, I am initiating the construction of dormitories in seven regions of the country.However, this year the project could not be completed, and its implementation has been postponed to September of next year," Japarov added.
