A reversible traffic mode has been temporarily introduced at the 291st kilometer of the road
A snow avalanche occurred on the Bishkek–Naryn–Torugart highway, in the area of the Kara-Unkur gorge, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
Currently, traffic is organized in one lane — vehicles are being allowed through in turn.
The volume of snow that has come down from the mountains is being clarified. Specialists from road maintenance enterprise No. 41 are working at the scene, engaged in clearing the road.
The Ministry urges drivers to be attentive to weather conditions, to remember to maintain distance, and to adhere to speed limits in mountainous areas.
