The Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute has published photographs of the solar eclipse that was observed over Antarctica. The images were taken at the Vostok Station, as reported by Meduza.
The duration of the total phase of the eclipse was 2 minutes and 19 seconds, while the total duration of the eclipse reached approximately four and a half hours.
At 15:13 Moscow time, the Moon covered about 0.963 of the solar disk's diameter, leaving only a narrow "ring" part of the Sun visible.
The institute emphasized that an annular eclipse is a rare astronomical event that occurs when the Moon is at a significant distance from the Earth.
