The first container train has departed from the "Lanzhou" station in China, heading towards "Dushanbe-2," passing through Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. This was reported by Podrobno.uz.

The train, which will cover a distance of more than 3,500 kilometers, will take between 18 to 20 days to reach its destination and will become an important part of the new regional transport corridor.

This project was initiated by the joint venture UTK International Logistics Co. Ltd, established in China with the participation of the Uzbek company JSC "Uztemiryulcontainer," which played a key role in organizing the transportation.

The dispatched train consists of eight 40-foot containers filled with consumer goods and construction equipment.

The launch of this route is a logical continuation of the agreements reached in 2025 at the meeting of the leaders of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan in Dushanbe.
