
At the Manas market, employees of the State Tax Service, together with local police representatives, conducted a raid during which a significant batch of tobacco products without excise stamps was discovered. This information was provided by the press service of the STS.
As a result of the inspection, 9,695 packs of cigarettes were seized, with a total value of 1,163.4 thousand soms. Additionally, 24 packages of illegal electronic cigarettes and 33 items resembling snus were found.
All discovered products were seized in accordance with established rules, and the collected materials were handed over to law enforcement agencies for further consideration.
The tax service reminded that for the sale of up to 200 units of excise goods without excise stamps, a fine of 100 thousand soms is imposed. In the case of selling more than 200 units, the offender may face criminal liability, including imprisonment for up to 7 years.
