In his post on the social network Truth Social, Trump emphasized the need to publish government files on unidentified flying objects and extraterrestrial life. The president highlighted that this decision was prompted by the "huge interest" of the public in this topic.

Trump called on the Secretary of Defense and other relevant authorities to initiate the process of disclosing information related to UFOs and the possible presence of aliens, as well as other important issues that generate significant interest.

Earlier, while speaking with the press, Trump accused his predecessor Barack Obama of leaking classified information after the former president commented on the probable existence of aliens. Trump stated that Obama "should not have done that" and that he "made a big mistake," but did not specify the exact details of what information was disclosed.

It is known that during a recent interview on Brian Tyler Cohen's podcast, Obama answered a question about the existence of aliens, stating that "they exist," but he himself has not seen them and does not believe they are in "Area 51." He also added that if they did exist, it could be hidden from the U.S. government.

In his Instagram, Obama clarified his words, noting that the universe is so vast that the probability of life beyond Earth is high. However, he emphasized that during his presidency, there was no evidence of contact with aliens.

Reuters reporters note that Obama's statements contain no indications of disclosing classified information.
