‘They are real, but I haven’t seen them.’ Barack Obama stated that aliens are not held in Area 51, and that the zone itself doesn’t exist

Obama, reflecting on this topic, added: “There is no underground complex, unless there is a global conspiracy that is hidden even from the President of the United States,” commenting ironically on the myths about the secret base.

When the host asked what question he would like to ask upon becoming president, Obama replied with a smile:

“Where are the aliens?”

Rumors that the secret base Area 51 in Nevada hides UFO wreckage and alien bodies have long attracted the attention of those who believe in conspiracy theories. Although discussions about these “repositories” continue, official sources do not confirm their existence, explaining the secrecy of the base by military developments and testing.

Among the popular versions regarding the activities of this base are the study and “reverse engineering” of alien technologies, including materials allegedly found in 1947 in Roswell, New Mexico.

Some conspiracy theorists go even further, claiming that technologies for intergalactic weapons, time travel, and teleportation, as well as climate control, are being developed at the base.

Obama’s statements about “Zone 51” came a few months after a documentary filmmaker stated that the U.S. government is hiding information about the existence of extraterrestrial intelligence. He suggested that Donald Trump might soon officially confirm the existence of alien life.

“I’m sure it’s only a matter of time: after the film is released, the sitting president will come out and say, ‘We are not alone in the universe,’” said director Dan Farah in an interview with Entertainment Weekly at the end of November.

“That would be an unforgettable moment for a world leader.”

The Independent reached out to the White House for comments.

Although Dan Farah expressed his speculations, Donald Trump has not yet made clear statements about the existence of aliens. Nevertheless, in several interviews prior to his return to the White House, he has suggested the possibility of extraterrestrial life, emphasizing that the universe is too vast for us to be the only intelligent beings.
