Specialists from the agency conducted veterinary control at Krasnoyarsk International Airport, which serves as a checkpoint across the state border of Russia. Currently, the parrots are housed in a special facility where necessary diagnostic studies and preventive measures will be carried out.
It should be noted that among the delivered birds are budgerigars, lovebirds, and cockatiels, intended for an individual entrepreneur engaged in their breeding and care.
Last year, 14,365 decorative birds were imported from Kyrgyzstan to Krasnoyarsk, the majority of which were also parrots.
