In Ala-Buka, located in the Jalal-Abad region, an event called "My Mother's Bread" took place. Gulnaz Kurmanbaeva, the head of the social affairs sector of the district administration, shared details about this event.

According to Gulnaz Kurmanbaeva, the event has been held for 15 years. "Every year, before Defender of the Fatherland Day, we organize the 'My Mother's Bread' [‘Апамдын наны’] event. It has become our good tradition. More than 50 women from the district council participate in the preparation. On this day, mothers prepare dough, bake bread and boorsoks, and also cook various homemade dishes, which are then sent to the soldiers. Some of them bring homemade ghee and kurut. This event supports the military guarding the borders of our country and helps them feel the warmth of home. In addition, as part of the event, a group of women prepared a concert for the servicemen," she noted.

Ala-Buka is home to five border outposts, one detachment, and a military unit of the Ministry of Defense.
