During an inspection conducted by a working commission to check the municipal enterprise "Bishkek Funeral Services Agency," serious violations were identified at several cemeteries in the capital. In particular, the southwest cemetery became the first site where a complete inventory of burial sites will take place.
According to the press service of the mayor's office, the inspection involved Deputy Mayor Victoria Mozgacheva, as well as Bishkek City Council deputies — Taalaybek Daiyrbekov and Zhanibek Asanbekov.
The southwest cemetery has been closed for new burials since January 1, 2021, based on decisions from relevant state authorities.
During the inspection, the commission recorded various deficiencies related to the maintenance of the area, accounting for burials, and the organization of economic activities.
The commission instructed the municipal enterprise to conduct a complete inventory of burials and present proposals for improving the condition of the area in accordance with established requirements.

Additionally, the commission visited the cemetery near the village of Orto-Sai, which is now under the city's management as part of the administrative-territorial reform, as well as the Muslim cemetery in the residential area "Kok-Zhar." The management of the enterprise was instructed to enhance control over land use, improve infrastructure, and ensure compliance with the maintenance rules for these areas.
The purpose of the inspections is to analyze the work of the enterprise, monitor compliance with legislation, and improve the quality of funeral services. The work of the commission continues.
